Hello, Hobbes,
My name is Eduardo Bertolini. I'm an brazillian designer and I'm working on an book's cover, entitled Curso Didático de Enfermagem (Didactic Nursing Course). I've seen your picture at stock.xchange (Oil Lamp 1) and I would like to use it on a cover layout. The lamp is the symbol of Nursing, due to Florence Nightingale, considered the founder of modern nursing. I'd like to ask your authorization so I may use the photo.
The publishing house still hasn’t approved the proposals, but if it does so, your name will be credited in the book.
I'm also sending the jpg layouts for the cover.
Thanks a lot!
Best regards
Eduardo Bertolini

How cool is that? I’m so thrilled to bits… Of course, this could turn out to be nothing again, like the last time someone else wanted to use the Dragon dance photo as the backdrop for their insurance convention’s publicity posters.
But I’m still tickled pink that my picture could be published in a book.
Fine… I know it’s just a small part of the book cover. It’s a minor detail. How many people do you know can say they’ve had a picture published in a book? And better yet, it’s being used for two books!
ok ok, I know it’s essentially the same book, in two parts, but it’s still two books OK?
Heehee… :P
Excuse me while I go and let my head grow big.
:D
